Posted on September 9, 2023 0

During a business tour organized by Intereras, we wanted the Vietnamese specialists to have a chance to speak and educate attendees on the promising investment possibilities in Vietnam around textiles and garments. The specialist delivered an insightful presentation and discussion panel that focused on exploring investment opportunities in Vietnam’s textile and garment industry, the event provided an in-depth look at Vietnam’s production capacity, trade data, industry trends, and future outlook.

The event began with a presentation from Mrs. Nguyen Thi Tuyet Mai of the Vietnam Textile and Apparel Association. She provided an overview of the industry structure, export revenue, challenges, sustainability efforts, and development plans leading up to 2035. She especially focused on important topics such as sustainability and future trends

This was followed by a panel discussion hosted by Intereras’ COO, Jeffrey Chang. We then brought on five industry experts for the panel:

  • Mrs. Nguyen Thi Tuyet Mai, Chief Secretary of the Vietnam Textile and Apparel Association
  • Mr. Daniel Chan, CEO of Intereras
  • Mrs. Tran Hoang Phu Xuan, CEO of Faslink
  • Mrs. Yvonne Dao, CEO of Davonne Era

The panel covered key topics like the current climate, trends, technology, investment opportunities, and more. With decades of combined experience, they were able to have an engaging discussion and provide insightful perspectives.

Key takeaways from the event included the industry’s strong export growth in recent years, the need for more sustainable practices, the goal of higher value-added production, and promising investment possibilities as production costs rise in China.

Overall, Intertextile’s presentation and panel discussion enabled attendees to gain a stronger understanding of Vietnam’s textile and garment sector directly from experts in the field. The insightful conversation pointed to an industry with tremendous potential for future growth.
