During the 1st day of the STGG June trip, we have visited the following locations:
1) Shaoxing Light Textile City
We started with business matching with 50 enterprises from the Keqiao area.
2) Huachen Dyeing and Printing Hangzhou
We explored their processes that produce 80,000 tons of knitting fabric and 135 million meters of printing fabric annually, learning how production affects on final garment quality.
3) China National Apparel Technology & Innovation Institute (CNATII)
We witnessed the latest AI and technology innovations in the textile and garment industry, some of the technology can be implemented immediately.
Key highlights included:
- How Big data apply on retail to production forecast
- Order monitor status of the textile and garment production group
- AI fitting mirror
- Smart factory model
4) Pia Duan Ji
One of the top female brand running franchaise model.
5) Eifini Group
Revenue Ranking No.1 during 11 Nov 2023 on Ecommerce channels, by achieving 800 million RMB (~2,800 billion VND) within one week. The group itself maintaining 25-30% positive growth in revenue ever since 2014. Compare to 2014, they have expanded from 300 stores to 2600 stores in 2024. Our STGG group had the opportunity to learn from their top management about their success strategies.
Some of the highlights from Eifini Group and their operations:
- Currently there ave 300 stores for testing new styles, 2300 stores for other SKUS that pass the test within the 300 stores.
- Each stores of them will only stock 6 piece of the items, their annual storage % is as low as 2%. That’s thanks to the logistic speed in China, within 1 day their customers will receive the item.
- From Design ideas to Actual garment in store it will cost Eifini 7 days (Zara needs 14 days) to finish the entire production.
- Eifini divided their supplier into A,B,C,D grade. A grade supplier will be staying in the headquarter of Eifini and work closely with the designer team of Eifini. These ensure that they could be highly aligned with the internal design team. The garment production time is very fast due to they have most of the accessories and fabric ready. Cause most of the A grade supplier will work closely with Eifini to produce according to the actual requirement.
